Adrian pulled away from Bianca, stepping past his mother to stand directly in front of Sofia, his eyes filled with genuine remorse.
“You stayed away for eleven years because of my mother’s threats?” Adrian asked, his voice trembling with emotion.
Sofia held her head high, wiping her hands on her apron. “I stayed away to build my own legacy, Adrian. I came back tonight only to show your family that my talent was never yours to buy.”
With the truth laid bare before the entire staff, Bianca gathered her belongings and stormed out of the venue, her relationship with Adrian shattered beyond repair.
Adrian turned to his mother and firmly requested that she leave the kitchen, stripping her of her control over the foundation’s events once and for all.
He then turned back to Sofia, offering a sincere, humble apology and promising to support her independent restaurant venture with no strings attached.
Though their romantic past remained in the quiet history of their youth, mutual respect and true justice were finally restored in the kitchen that night.
