The crowded cathedral descended into pure chaos as reporters realized they were witnessing the sudden downfall of Julian’s financial enterprise.
“You’re Orlando Vance…” Julian whispered, stumbling backward as his face drained of all color. “The reclusive chairman of Vance Global Securities.”
Lando smiled calmly, taking my hand gently into his own as he addressed the stunned crowd of elites and media outlets.
“Julian spent months trying to frame Clara’s father to hide his own embezzlement,” Lando announced, his voice echoing off the stained-glass windows. “I let him drag me up to this altar today just so the entire world could watch his arrest live.”
Federal agents in dark suits poured through the massive oak doors of the cathedral, holding a signed warrant for Julian’s immediate arrest.
Julian tried to run toward the side exit, but officers quickly tackled and handcuffed him right in front of the flashing news cameras.
