The Silent Legend of Cell Block C

Part Two of the Story… 👇

Underestimated Prison Fighter

As the massive fist cut through the air, Kate did not flinch, step back, or cover her head. Instead, with a fluid movement that seemed almost lazy, she leaned her torso just a few inches to the left. The sheer wind from Rex’s punch rustled the hair around her temples, but the strike connected with nothing but empty air. Overextended by his own immense weight and forward momentum, Rex stumbled forward a step, his eyes wide with momentary confusion.

Before he could regain his balance, Kate shifted her weight. She placed her right foot firmly behind his ankle and applied a light, precise tap against the back of his lead knee. It was not a show of raw power, but a masterclass in physics and leverage. Rex’s massive leg buckled, and his own heavy momentum did the rest. With a loud, breath-robbing thud, the towering man slammed face-first into the packed dirt of the yard.

A sudden, suffocating silence fell over the sports field. The laughing, shouting, and cheering stopped instantly. Hundreds of inmates stood frozen, their mouths open in collective shock. Even the corrupt guards leaning against the chain-link fence lowered their arms, staring in utter disbelief at the tiny woman standing calmly over the fallen giant.

Marcus rose slowly from his makeshift wooden chair, his knuckles white as he gripped the armrests. His heart hammered against his ribs. The fortune he had plotted to collect was slipping through his fingers in real time. Panic flared behind his eyes, but he forced a harsh bark of laughter to mask it.

Get up, Rex, Marcus shouted, his voice cracking slightly against the stillness. Stop playing around and break her.

Rex pushed himself off the dirt, his face flushed red with intense rage and humiliation. Dust covered his chest and forehead, and his breathing came in harsh, rattling gasps. He wiped his jaw with the back of his forearm, his eyes burning with fury as he fixed his glare on Kate. He convinced himself that her evasion had been nothing more than a lucky accident, a fluke born of arrogance and chance.

You are going to regret that, Rex growled, his voice low and dangerous.

Kate did not answer. Her posture remained relaxed, her hands resting lightly at her sides, her eyes steady and unreadable. She stood with the quiet grace of someone who had faced far greater threats than a brute in a prison yard.

Rex roared and lunged forward a second time. This time, he did not throw a wild, single punch. He tried to grab her around the waist, intending to use his massive weight to crush her against the hard ground. But Kate moved before his fingers could even touch her shirt. She stepped inside his reach, turning her body at an exact angle. With two swift, calculated palm strikes—one to his solar plexus to empty his lungs, and another to the nerve center beneath his ear—she paralyzed his movement.

Rex froze, his muscles locking up in excruciating pain. Kate gently grabbed his wrist, twisted it with minimal effort, and guided him to the ground in a controlled, immovable armlock. Rex gasped for air, his cheek pressed flat into the dirt, entirely immobilized by a fraction of his size. He tried to push himself up, but every tiny movement sent a sharp spike of pressure through his shoulder, threatening to dislocate the joint if he dared to struggle further.

I suggest you stay down, Kate said quietly, her voice smooth and devoid of malice or triumph. It is much easier that way.
